Since 2023, Prof. Almut Schilling-Vacaflor has held the Chair of International Business, Society and Sustainability at Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nürnberg. Her research focuses on sustainability governance, business and human rights, global supply chains, environmental justice and resource extraction as well as agricultural production in Latin America. She is particularly interested in the question of how globalized economic sectors can be regulated and governed in a way that contributes to protect human rights and the environment.
